Two ASU Students to Compete in GESA Finals

ASU is excited to have two students representing the university at the Global Finals of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) program.

For nearly 20 years, the GSEA program has recognized students who are successfully building businesses while pursuing academic degrees. The program is currently active in five countries including Canada, Australia, Sweden and Puerto Rico. GSEA encourages students to pursue their passions and compete for international business recognition, cash awards and feedback from a panel of influential entrepreneur judges.

The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is the facilitator of the GSEA program, in part through support of Mercedes Benz Financial. This connection allows student entrepreneurs to tap into the collective knowledge and experience of EO members, gaining access to our global network of elite entrepreneurs.

ASU participants Brent Foster and Kevin Pringles are now set to travel, all expenses paid, to the Global Finals in Chicago, Illinois and will represent ASU on November 5 and 6. They will compete at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place against other student entrepreneurs from around the globe. Over $100,000 in donated business services and cash prizes are slated for the Global Finals and it would be exciting to see Brent and Kevin place well in the competition.

The winner of the third GSEA virtual competition, 24-year-old Brent Foster, is the founder of Xenula Corporation. Xenula Corporation installs Closed Circuit Television (CCT) surveillance systems and provides broadband wireless equipment and services across the nation. ASU also produced the second place winner, student Kevin Pringles who is majority partner of Hydro Headwear LLC. Pringles designs, markets and coordinates a unique line of cooling hats and apparel.
